Tenergy 05 FX

Tenergy 05 FX
Table Tennis Rubber · Offensive · Pimples-In · FX Sponge

The softer variant of the most successful Tenergy rubber.

Tenergy 05 FX combines High Tension technology with the softer version of the Spring Sponge sponge. This conveys a particularly soft playing feel. It is the result of an intensive research series within the Butterfly development department.

Tenergy 05 FX is the perfect answer for all players who love fast topspin strokes but do not want to compromise on the necessary control.

Recommended for: Topspin players preferring a soft, controlled playing feel — ideal at amateur level and in women's competitive table tennis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which playing style suits the Tenergy 05 FX?

Tenergy 05 FX is suitable for topspin players preferring a soft, controlled playing feel — ideal at amateur level and in women's competitive table tennis.

How does the Tenergy 05 FX differ from the Tenergy 05?

The Tenergy 05 FX uses the identical 05 pip structure, but combines it with the softer Spring Sponge FX sponge (32° instead of 36°). This results in a lighter, easier-to-play stroke behaviour — ideal for players who do not bring the full power input of the harder variant.

What is Spring Sponge technology?

Spring Sponge is a sponge technology developed by Butterfly with particularly high elasticity and energy return. It gives the Tenergy rubbers their characteristic catapult effect and linear stroke behaviour. The FX version is 4° softer (32° instead of 36°) and enables more ball feedback and easier playing behaviour.

How does Tenergy differ from the Dignics series?

The Dignics series is the further development of Tenergy rubbers with the newer Spring Sponge X technology. Dignics rubbers offer higher rotation values and longer service life, but are more expensive. Tenergy remains the more attractively priced choice with proven playing characteristics.

Is the Tenergy 05 FX suitable for beginners?

As an FX variant, the Tenergy 05 FX is well-suited for ambitious amateur players and switchers from other brands. For absolute beginners, we recommend rubbers of the Rozena or Sriver series.
